Multidisciplinary artist Kiyan Williams manipulates and transforms American flags into charred and distorted objects. Reimagining the cookout as an intervention and reflection on this fraught American symbol, guests are invited to fry, barbecue, and season the flags using their own culinary techniques While cooking, participants are invited to reflect on their relationship to the American flag as a complex symbol of national identity and democracy.
